What is medical tattooing?

Medical micropigmentation, also known as
medical tattooing, is a technique used to restore
the original colour of the skin by “tattooing” areas,
to correct achromia or conceal scarring. This
treatment can be used to minimise or cover:
• Scars
• Acne scars
• Burn scars
• Stretch marks
• Hypopigmented skin
• Areola scarring after reconstructive surgery

Tattoo pigment is implanted using a precision device called a tattoo machine well tolerated by the body. At Vitaboost we use the latest, state of the art equipment and the highest grade of pigments for all our procedures. This ensures you receive the best looking and long-lasting results.
Though our techniques can reduce the appearance of your scar, it’s important to understand that scars are long-lasting and no scar will ever be completely invisible.
Every scar is different: body location, size, shape, colour, appearance of depth, and more. Some scars require only a single treatment, others take multiple treatments.
Results are cumulative and may take four to six weeks to fully develop.
It is also important to note that paramedical micropigmentation is not intended to provide a medical treatment or cure any medical condition, it is simply a form of cosmetic tattooing, and one should always consult with their doctor to get a recommendation before undergoing any paramedical treatment.
